Shrek Style Adobe Photoshop Tutorial

In this tutorial we’ll learn how to to create a nice Shrek text effect with couple of very simple steps.

01.  First things first – create a new document and fill it with any color or even a picture. For more Shrek looks, we’re gonna use some nice blue sky and a some shapes of Shrek himself.  Now take the Type tool, choose your font and type in any word, for example, your name. What font to use? Shrek! Yes, there actually is a Shrek font.

02.  Now locate the menu bar and from there move to Layer > Layer Style > Bevel and Emboss.  Here you’ll be faced with many options, so take your time and try to set each value like shown below but be sure that when your text is smaller or bigger than on the picture, you may need to raise or decrease some values. The main thing is to get the same result. Do not press OK yet.

03.  Move to the Gradient Overlay tab and add a green gradient.

04.  Move to the Satin tab and add some more values.

05.  Add some highlight in the middle of the letters from the Inner Glow tab.  Press OK.

06.  And your Shrek text style is ready to use!
